SharkyExtreme ha pubblicato la guida settimanale ai prezzi delle memorie. I prezzi delle memorie SDRAM sono rimasti sostanzialmente invariati negli ultimi 7 giorni, con una progressiva riduzione delle memorie DDR-SDRAM, sorpattutto per la variante PC1600 che ha un costo allineato a quello dei moduli SDRAm PC133 CAS2:
DDR SDRAM continues to match CAS2 PC133 SDRAM prices once again. Crucial.com has once again price matched their PC1600 memory with PC133 to motivate the move to DDR. We've heard some good things about the overclocking potential of PC1600, but as always there is a chance that you won't hit PC2100 levels so please be careful. PC2100 prices in the larger sticks are now lower than an equivalent PC800 module (the primary competition for DDR in our books). Keep in mind that many of the DDR-capable motherboards only offer two memory slots, so if you are going to buy DDR memory, buy big to avoid throwing away memory if you want to upgrade at a later date. One mover that caught my eye was the $27 price drop in 256MB modules of PC2100 DDR SDRAM. Now might be a good time to pick up your favorite DDR SDRAM motherboard and memory solution.
