I prezzi delle cpu AMD sono rimasti sostanzialmetne invariati rispetto alla scorsa settimana, con alcuni ribassi marginali per le versioni a più elevata frequenza di clock; medesimo discorso vale per le cpu Intel, con i prezzi dei processori Pentium IV che sono rimasti invariati rispetto alla precedente settimana:
After several weeks of price drops on the Pentium 4, it seems as though Intel's high-end is not fluctuating nearly as much. We have heard further price drops are on the horizon, so if you are interested in a Pentium 4 system, it might be a good idea to sit tight for another couple of weeks. Also, remember that some of the retail processors available right now do not come with RDRAM - the Pentium 4 1.4 and 1.5GHz CPU's we found this month are prime examples.

If you're in the market for a Pentium 4, make sure and pair it with a motherboard like ASUS P4T, which offers FSB and voltage manipulation. Not to brag or anything, but we've run the P4T with a 600MHz bus without a problem! Since the Pentium 4 was designed with scalability in mind, it only stands to reason that it would serve as an excellent candidate for overclocking. Indeed, we have found it relatively easy to obtain an extra 200MHz out of the processors we've dealt with.
