accesso ristretto pagina .asp!!!

Ho un problema con una pagina .asp alla quale ho dato una restrizione di accesso.Non conosco il linguaggio di programmazione,perciò uso dreamweaver mx2004 per lavorare.Il problema è il seguente:
Dopo aver ristretto laccesso alla pagina in questione ho provato ad accedervi e come mi aspettavo,mi si è presentata la pagina da me preimpostata,che mi comunicava di loggarmi.Pensando di essere sulla buona strada ho provato a loggarmi immettendo username e password,ma a questo punto è cominciato il problema!Accesso negato come se i dati da me immessi non fossero validi (So che non è così perchè nomeutente e password li ho inseriti io nel database access da me creato.).Il sito contiene già altre pagine .asp con accesso ristretto,e funzionano tutte previo logIn!Ho provato anke a rifare la pagina per intero + volte ma nulla!
