Tom's Hardware ha pubblicato, a questo indirizzo, il Monday Blurb, editoriale all'interno del quale sono stati analizzati interessantissimi argomenti.
Il primo di essi ha a che vedere con l'overcloccabilità delle nuove cpu AMD Socket A: pare che i processori in commmercio abbiano moltiplicatore di frequenza bloccato, pertanto non sarà possibile overcloccare via moltiplicatori queste cpu ma solo alterando la frequenza di bus:
you might want to hear an AMD statement saying that the shipping Thunderbird and Duron processors will have their multipliers LOCKED, which means that even an A7V with the dipswitches is not going to help
Altra interessante informazione,s empre in merito all'overcloccabilità delle cpu AMD, è che sembra sia possibile variare comunque il moltiplicatore di frequenza della cpu, anche se si tratta di una procedura piuttosto complicata in quanto richiede di intervenire su alcuni contatti posti nella parte superiore della cpu (quella a contatto con il dissipatore di calore):

Main thing is that every overclocker will finally benefit from the findings.
