Come ogni settimana SharkyExtreme pubblica la guida ai prezzi delle cpu; i prezzi dei processori AMD sono rimasti sostanzialmente allineati, con insoliti aumenti per le versioni a più elevata frequenza di clock della cpu Athlon, mentre le cpu Intel di fascia più alta (Pentium III Coppermine e Pentium IV) hanno subito interessanti riduzioni dei prezzi.
L'estratto qui di seguito riportato illustra l'attuale situazione delle cpu Intel Pentium IV:
The Pentium 4 takes quite a price plunge this week, falling under the $1,000 mark. That's right, the 1.5GHz retail package has been reduced more than $500 in a month and a half!
