3 nuovi software per schede video NVIDIA

Sono disponibili per il download, dalla sezione software di Hardware Upgrade, 3 nuovi software specifici per l'utilizzo in abbinamento a schede video NVIDIA. Il primo, nHancer, permette di gestire autonomamente dal control panel i profili dei driver NVIDIA. Il secondo è la versione 81.26 beta dei driver Forceware, mentre l'ultimo è la più aggiornata versione dei driver NGO optimized.

nHancer (NVIDIA Profile Editor)

Tool che permette di eliminare il control panel e il tool di gestione dei profili dei driver NVIDIA, a favore di una maggiore completezza delle opzioni disponibili.

Tra le funzionalità integrate in questo tool segnaliamo:

• Easy creation and manipulation of fully automatic profiles
• Additional AA-modes, that are not available through the control panel
• Automatic backup and restoration of profiles after a driver installation
• Various SLI options to make almost all games SLI compatible
• Export and import of profiles to transfer them onto other systems
• Intuitive, fully scalable user interface

Di seguito sono riportate le novità introtte nella versione 1.2:

• Added a tray icon mode. If this mode is enabled, a tray icon is displayed in the systray. This icon offers a context menu, which allows to change all global driver settings without having to open nHancer. A double click on the icon will open nHancer. If this mode is active, this icon will appear automatically with each window start.
• Added the new Anti-Aliasing modes for the 7800 models (Gamma correction, transparency options)
• Added a new “Force OpenGL Triple Buffer” option to the VSync settings.
• Added two more unofficial Anti-Aliasing modes (4x 9-tap, 12xS)
• Added a new “Force DXT3 (OGL)” option to the “Optimizations” page.
• Added a new “Adjust LOD BIAS” option to the “Optimizations” page.
• Added the new SLI Anti-Aliasing mode
• Added the new OpenGL options for SLI
• Added the new SLI Stereo Mode option
• Added the new “dynamic tiling mode” option, which optimizes SLI for multithread CPUs
• Added a new function to remove all SLI profiles (“Profiles->Remove all SLI-profiles”). On a system where SLI is not available, nHancer will ask if the user wants to remove these profiles automatically once after each driver installation.
• Added a new function to restore original driver profiles (“Profiles->Restore original driver profiles”). If the user has deleted or changed a profile, he can use this function to revert one or many profiles to their original state.
• Added a new option called “Show experimental modes”. If this mode is not active (default), all Anti-Aliasing modes which are not really usable or might not work correctly on current drivers are hidden. Also the new 7xxx AA flags (gamma, transparency) are disabled if this option is not active and you have an older card which doesn’t support these flags.
• Added a field to view and modify the SLI flags directly in their hexadecimal representation

Forceware 81.26 Windows 2K-XP

Driver per chip video NVIDIA versione beta 81.26; per sistemi operativi Windows XP e Windows 2000. Di seguito le note fornite a corredo:

NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver v81.26

Versione ottimizzata dei driver NVIDIA Forceware 81.26, specificamente pensati per l'utilizzo con le schede video NVIDIA delle famiglie GeForce; integrano supporto anche per le versioni mobile dei chip video NVIDIA. Di seguito le note fornite a corredo con i driver:

PCI Latency Tool:
We decided to include this handy tool so you could adjust the PCI latency in order to avoid PCI bus choking. It helps optimize performance and resolve stuttering and sound issues. It's recommended to set latency values to 64 for all your PCI/AGP Devices. This tool doesnt support PCI Express cards.

nHancer:
With nHancer the creation and management of profiles is very easy, and the user receives as much assistance as he needs, to understand what he's doing.
