ACPI Suse 9.3

Ciao a tutti,
è la prima volta che scrivo qui e che mi cimento con Linux...
Ho da poco messo su la Suse 9.3 ed ho un problemino:
il mio portatile (Toshiba M40-193) non ne vuole sapere di spegnersi...
Quando spengo, esce da X, killa tutto e rimane come ultima scritta:"The system will be halted immediately" e rimane lì...

Ho appreso qua e là che è un problema di ACPI ma non so dove mettere le mani, vi allego il "boot.msg" nel caso potesse esservi di aiuto per aiutarmi a risolvere questo fastidio !!!
