64 MB on this board is nice for those who use memory hogging, large texture, high-resolution 3D applications, and users will see a performance increase over a 32 MB version is most applications. Like all GeForce2 products, you'll want to have a fast CPU on as fast a front side bus as possible. If you're looking for raw frame rates, your CPU is the determining factor at lower resolutions. Current GeForce owners may want to wait for the next generation of products, especially if you use lower resolutions in games. The Voodoo5 5500 AGP and ATI Radeon 64 MB both provide stiff competition. The V5 5500 adds a better FSAA implementation and Glide support (if you still have Glide games hanging around). While the ATI Radeon has superior DVD playback abilities and additional 3D features that game developers haven't tapped, yet. Overall, you can't do much better than the Asus 64 MB V7700, but with the release of the GeForce2 Ultras right around the corner and the impending release of the GeForce2 Pros as well, the days of this card being the top dog are already numbered by its soon-to-be-released siblings.
