Database Oracle e campi testo...
Salve, volevo sapere se per caso esiste un corrispondente del tipo TEXT che c'e' in mysql??!!
E' prevista inoltre la possibilita' di effettuare ricerche sul testo contenuto??? Grazie in anticipo!

oppure usa un varchar2 senza indicare la lunghezza di campo... se la stringa è troppo lunga (più di 4000 caratteri) usa il tipo long...

Grazie mille per i consigli..in pratica mi serve per un progetto che dobbiam fare...un forum con servlet/jsp + db oracle...solo che io fino ad ora avevo sempre usato mysql...
In particolare la domanda era riferita a un tipo di dato che fosse per l'appunto appropriato a contenere il testo dei post oppure quello dei msg privati...  Thankz!
