We were very happy with the PlexWriter 12/10/32A, and, frankly, we were pleasantly surprised that an IDE burner could be as fast and performed as well as it did. Let's sum this up quickly:

Pros: Easy to install; fast and accurate; BURN-Proof works better than we expected (and we expect a lot from Plextor). Great packaging.
Cons: Bundled Adaptec software has annoying animated character; we have to send the drive back to Plextor.

(Note: I discussed the PlexWriter 12/10/32A with Trainwrecker's LAMF, over the phone, and he placed an order for one the next day. He thinks it's a great drive and a worthwhile upgrade from the older, slower, "BURN-Proof-less" PlexWriter 8/4/32. I'm torn between purchasing the this drive or waiting for Plextor's next SCSI PlexWriter, which will hopefully include Sanyo's BURN-Proof feature, or the 20X drive scheduled for release in the Fall.
