MPlayer e stream asf = Grrr

Capita che io abbia la necessità (sigh) di visionare filmati in stream in formato di Windows media....

Per tale ragione mi sono scaricato Mplayer, il pacchetto con le dll di windows più alcune dll che mancavano... Ho compilato il tutto e vedo perfettamente (soprattutto sento: era un po' triste avere i video del Live8 in formato .mov e vederli perfettamente senza porterli sentire) i file quick time... Tutt'altra storia è invece per i file in stream di Windows Media Player (e qui censuro gli epiteti che rivolgerei alla M$ che si ostina a mantenere segrete o quasi le specifiche dei suoi formati)..... Quando inserisco un url contenente l'indrizzo di un formato in stream ottengo essenzialmete due errori diversi a seconda di ciò che inserisco... se insersco:

Ho trovato questo consiglio che sin'ora mi era sfuggito: aprire l'asf con un text editor per ricavare gli indirizzi diretti.....

Ora l'audio, sul file con cui ho provato, si sente bene... Peccato manchi totalmente il video . In ogni caso eccovi l'output:
