Una curiosità... avete dei link a test prestazionali di xfs con kernel >= 2.6.17 (ovvero con supporto write barriers abilitato di default)?

ho appena comprato un nuovo lettore dvd sata cosa devo fare con debian? collegarlo e stop o mettere quale linea nell'fstab?? la vecchia relativa al lettore ide la posso cancellare o se la commento in questo file (come tutti i file in linux) è uguale ?

Ps: ho trovato, pare un'incompatibilità di licenze fra i moduli del kernel e i driver nvidia.
Fino ai kernel 2.6.20 si risolve con una modifica sul file paravirt.c, cancellando la dicitura _gpl dall'ultima riga e ricompilando. Se non ho capito male comunque è un hack non del tutto lecito/morale. Pare comunque essersi risolto dal kernel 2.6.21 in poi..Ma io che sono estremamente pigro e installo i kernel per ora con apt mi sa che aspetto, non è ancora nei repository (mi pare). Ciaoz

Io ho ricompilato il kernel 2.6.20.1
con il parametro cpu: CONFIG_PARAVIRT=y cambiato in CONFIG_PARAVIRT is not set dopodichè i driver Nvidia si compilano regolarmente |
