infatti fa cagare a vedersi quella mobo...

della asus ci vorrebbe anche una mobo stile MAXIMUS II Formula.. non c'è niente da fare...

cmq son curioso di vedere che mobo farà la gigabyte.

P55 also known as Ibex Peak
Intel P55 for Core i5: More details plus Die pictures and socket chaos
The new chipset for Intel's forthcoming middle-class CPUs is supposed to be called P55 (formerly known as Ibex Peak) - this has been confirmed by several motherboard manufacturers. But as the socket is concerned there are several contrary statements. We sum it up.
The P55 chipset [Source: view picture gallery]We found the first P55 motherboards at the Asus Cebit booth. There we saw "LGA 1160” on the boards. We were told that the socket 1160 would be compatible to the new Intel CPUs with integrated graphics unit while the socket 1156 is intended for processors without the graphics unit. By the way the name Core i5 has not been confirmed by Intel yet.

But other motherboard manufactures and producers of cooling solutions told us that the socket 1160 is an outdated version which has been replaced by the socket 1165. This socket is supposed to be compatible with CPUs that have the integrated graphics unit, while the socket 1155 is for processors without the IGP. Even an Intel presentation only mentions the sockets 1156 and 1155 - a sign that this assumption is correct.

Within the next few days we have an interview appointment with Intel's "Director of Microprocessor Marketing” - we hope that we can answer all the questions about the P55 and the confusion about the sockets.

Jetways P55-Platine HI05 bietet genau wie das G9P55-DC von MSI drei Grafiksteckplätze. Über wie viele Lanes diese jeweils verfügen, wird leider nicht angegeben. Biostar zeigte am Cebit-Stand hingegen das Tpower I55 mit zwei x16-Slots. Ob diese jedoch beim Einsatz von zwei Grafikkarten jeweils 16 Lanes zur Verfügung stellen, ist nicht sicher. Zudem gibt Biostar an, dass das Tpower I55 lediglich Crossfire X beherrscht. Womöglich ist für SLI-Unterstützung ein zusätzlicher Chip nötig. Zudem bietet das Biostar-Mainboard einen Steckplatz für NAND-Flash.

Beim GA-HD von Gigabyte handelt es sich um ein Mikro-ATX-Board, das offenbar für HD-fähige HTPCs gedacht ist. Dementsprechend verfügt das GA-HD über einen DVI- und einen HDMI-Anschluss. Ob der Sockel 1160, der Sockel 1156 oder der Sockel 1155 zum Einsatz kommt, ist nicht angegeben. Als einziger Hersteller verrät Biostar einen groben Veröffentlichungstermin für das P55-Mainboard: Es soll im dritten Quartal 2009 verfügbar sein.

quoto ed anche la biostar maddai hai il connettore molex ancora per alimentare le pci e se si ha il multi gpu

chissa che schifo di alimentazione interna ha

la piu bella è la msi che almeno ha il turbo mode configurabile coi tasti e si ritorna al passato....mobo retro'
