BricsCad IntelliCAD è supportato da RED HAT, SUSE and JAVA DESKTOP (Sun Microsystems).
Qui di seguito parte del comunicato ufficiale:
"BricsCad IntelliCAD - the best alternative for AutoCAD® - is only running on Windows and is a very cost-effective alternative allowing huge savings for large corporations. For an AutoCAD® user the conversion to BricsCad IntelliCAD takes no longer than half a day and retains full compatibility with the rest of the DWG based industry" says Erik De Keyser, CEO of BricsCad. "Our largest customers - multi billion Dollar/Euro companies - use this mission critical software in their day-to-day jobs, proving the actual robustness of it. Some of them still keep a few AutoCAD® licenses combined with their main BricsCad IntelliCAD platform, thus proving the full compatibility between both. The moment is right for offering all this to the LINUX community. What BricsCad for Linux represents for the LINUX CAD environment is comparable to what OpenOffice is vs. MS Office®: continue the job on your OS of choice and stay compatible."
