GA-Hardware ha pubblicato un'intervista a Sebastian MacDougall, PR di Matrox, con alcune domande riguardanti l'EMBM, il G450 e altri particolari riguardo al futuro di Matrox; trovate tutto a questo indirizzo

Q5: Now here comes my obligatory question. Many customers nourish some feelings of resentment over the aggressive 6-month product cycle in the 3D market - which cycle nVidia dictates and meets from time to time. On the one hand, people say it is a good policy as it serves the development of the industry; but on the other, people can hardly afford buying a new product every sixth months. Moreover, even software developers can hardly keep up with this speed. Matrox seems to be lagging behind a bit in this accelerated competition. How do you see this?

A: - Good question. It is definitely a double-edged sword. On the one hand you have technological advancements increasing at a pace that makes a 6 month cycle plausible, however, on the other you have the developers who need ample lead time to develop for this new hardware and the consumer who wants to know that what he/she buys today won't be extinct in a few months either. Using the G400 as an example, more than a year after its inception, you are only now getting a glimpse of competitors integrating similar features into their hardware. I think this is of major relief to Matrox users in that they know they can rely on Matrox to be the innovators and stand behind what we produce for the long term.
