I have to say that the Asus CUV4X has now become my favorite Socket VIA APA motherboard, barely topping the MSI 6309 in performance and features. The stability and performance on the board were great. I encountered no problems at all during any of the testing. The overclocking options put it at the top of the list for VIA APA boards. The question is: should I get the CUV4X instead of the P3V4X? The CUV4X performance is less and the features are less. But neither by that much. If you are planning on buying a socket P3/Celeron and don't want to spend the extra money on the Slocket adapter, the CUV4X makes a great choice.

In my book Asus has a clean sweep on the Socket and Slot VIA APA market. It is too bad Abit has not made a VIA APA socket/slot board with SoftMenu III to compete. The VIA APA chipset is still very much a live however. With DDR platforms still a realistic 6 months away, there still is a lot of room for some competition.
