Judging by the absence of a PCI-to-PCI bridge on a daughtercard, we can assume that the new slot is merely a combination of two common PCI slots. This idea seems even more plausible since the slot features a double number of pins. Another guess is that one of the PCI slots stops working when you install a card in the other one, since the board cannot host more than six PCI-master devices at a time. However, one of the devices on the card installed in the notorious "black PCI" may as well be a slave-device, so other PCI slots do work in this case.
