Tali indirizzi MAC o Nome clienti, hanno la caratteristica di avere i primi 4 suffissi uguali 40:00:3F:06: e gli altri due variabili con una serie di combinazioni...

anche io da poco posseggo l'AC87 e per puro caso andando a spippolare nell'interfaccia del router sono incappato anche io nella web history con questo:



Come vedi quasi identico MAC address che inizia con 40:00:3F:06!
Ed andando a controllare su google non risulta assegnato a nessun vendor esistente! Molto molto strano non credi?

Poi cercando cercando mi è caduto l'occhio su quell'indirizzo lipinic.com

Tra l'altro ieri che ho usato molto la vpn, oggi vado a vedere il log e mi trovo tipo 10+ pagine con quel mac address che punta ai + svariati siti web...
Se così è, qual'è la motivazione tecnica di questi mac address finti?

Ormai sono sicuro che dipenda dal'uso della VPN. Tra l'altro le connessioni ai vari indirizzi corrispondono a siti web visitati dal cellulare quando sono in vpn (OpenVPN Connect su Android).
L'unica cosa è che mi piacerebbe capire il motivo di questo strano comportamento.

Ciao Darklion, fai bene a porre la domanda, perché logica e consequenziale sul fatto che è incomprensibile il perché il router, per la stessa connessione VPN, ha la necessità di creare e variare in continuazione (come se fosse un virus) l'indirizzo MAC fittizio del dispositivo collegato.

La tua domanda ed i tuoi dubbi sono assolutamente corretti. Quindi non ti fare aggredire da chi è ignorante.
Il problema è che nessuno ti sa rispondere, perché nessuno lo sa.
Non c'è nessuno qui qualificato che ti sa rispondere. Tutti ignoranti siamo.

..lascia perdere ed istalla il firmware 380.59 Beta 2 che è veramente valido ed aggiornato.
La Beta 2 va già bene e la puoi già istallare, per poi aggiornala alla versione definitiva non appena pronta.
Però ripeto la Beta 2 è già OK

Vai alla pagina Server VPN - OpenVPN - Impostazioni avanzate
e disabilita la voce "Istruisci i client a reinstradare il traffico Internet" (che sicuramente avrai abilitato)

E così non dovrebbero più essere generati i MAC address fittizi e seriali che si visualizzano nella pagina QoS - Cronologia web

Pardon hai ragione. Non capisco perché quando sul pc collegato in wireless entro nella carrella download dell'hd collegato all'usb 2.0, e cerco di copiare un film scaricato sul desktop, dopo qualche secondo il pc perde la connessione con il router e ovviamente non riesco a copiare il file.

Non ho capito come mai se metto performance il segnale diventa meno potente rispetto a good. Non dovrebbe essere il contrario?
