Hi there all! Im a German guy working in italiy! Nice country and people here !

So i need some help of you! I like playing in the internet very much, i play unreal tournament online. Now i just made the line with alice(alice 4 mega) and i noticed that my ping is about 120ms when i play... Its to high to play well In germany i activated "fastpath" and i always played with a ping about 20ms-30ms)... Just payed 1 euro more the month.
I often saw threads in italian forums where other people talk about it, but i dont understand that much italy. So i need your help
Please could you tell me what to do or to activate that i can play with better(lower)ping. I just saw that the offer "alice buisness" got the option to choose between two kind of lines: Interleaved or Fast... Damn, i want fast, but it seems to me that the offer is just for companies and not for private persons
So i hope to hear from you, but i think italians are nice people(i work with much) and helpfully as well!

I have the same problem... I would like my adsl line set with fastpath but it seems not possible. I read in forums that some users got their adsl in fast mode because they called a lot of time the 187 call center and at the end they said yes. With the business offer you can get the fastpath but it's more expensive. I think you can subscrive a business contract even if you are a private person but I'm not sure.....so call the 187 and ask.

My friend, I do suggest to change your internet provider.
Alice adsl is absolutely not good for an online player. You should consider providers such as Tiscali (now the best adsl in italy if you are covered by their own network, if not they resell poor telecom adsl) http://adsl.tiscali.it , NGI, Fastweb.


I have Tiscali 12mbit flat adsl. It has interleaved path, but it's faster then many fast path adsl.

640flat_voce means that you are covered by wholesale telecom adsl, so it isn't a good line (absolutely no fastpath).
Never heard nothing about freefast.it, but i think they don't sell adsl lines.
About a business line with 191. I f you're a private user you can't do a business line, it is not possible. You must have a business phone number.

If you aren't covered by fastweb (www.fastweb.it) you can do NGI that is an adsl in wholesale telecom, but it is very well.

Hi! Now I can test my english language...

However, I have Alice 4 Mega (interleaved) and my ping is around 45 ms. It's not very good but I can play online with no problems. Some people obtained fast path, that is to say a ping around 25-30 ms but however this is rare. In fact telecom doesn't provide fast path to residential customers. You could try Tiscali ADSL or other connections which usually provide fast path as default.

Italy is a primitive country Business and costumers ADSL are totally different and if you don't work in a society, you can't absolutely subscribe a ADSL Business subscription.

FastWeb provides fastpath lines over adsl o optical fiber (if you are covered) at the same price.

There are three different types of connection:

i have 6mbit but my router (Telsey HAG provided by FastWeb) is not the fastest.
if you have the opportunity to ask FastWeb for Pirelli HAG you can save another 10-12ms

if you are covered by optical fiber ping is better

Fastweb and NGI are both good ISP and both provide fastline path
With Fastweb you are 100% sure that your is about 5 - 40ms (pinging maya.ngi.it) in every place you are (covered by Fastweb, obvoiusly)
With NGI you are quite sure to have a good bing (<40ms) but there are some users that have problems with their ping because of line saturation.
They cost more or less the same but Fastweb provides more bandwidth at the same price.

You can ask the call center for it at 192192

i also want that pirelli hag router or something

Pirelli hag is not easy to obtain and you can try to make request when you subscibe the line but it's not sure Fastweb will give you this hag.

But you can consider to subscribe Fastweb Light (adsl is the same, even if there isn't the SuperAdsl 20mbit option) where you can use the adsl router you want (compatible with Fastweb specifications).

remember that if you cancel Alice's subscription before one year from the activation, you must pay monthly charges for remaining months...

Ho visto appena che l'offerta "buisness della alice" ha convinto l'opzione per scegliere fra il genere due di linee: Interleaved o fast... Maledizione, desidero velocemente, ma sembra a me che l'offerta è giusta per le aziende e non per le persone riservate Così spero di sentirsi da voi, ma dall'io penso che gli italiani siano lavoro piacevole di people(i con molto) ed utile pure!
