Stando a quanto riportato in questa news pubblicata sul sito Digit-Life, Abit avrebbe intenzione di produrre alcune nuove schede mari basate su chipset nVidia Crush, nuovo modello dotato di sottosistema video on board basato su chip GeForce 2 MX.
Il target di questo genere di schede madri è ovviamente quello dei sistemi entry level ma con prestazioni 3D di buon livello:
ABIT is preparing at least two mainboards based on upcoming NVIDIA Crush chipset for AMD processors. The first one named NV7 is an ATX form-factor board with 1 AGP / 5 PCI / 4 USB / 3 DDR DIMMs / ATA100 / AC'97 sound. The second is NV-22 - microATX board designed for system integrators. It features 1 AGP / 3 PCI / 4 USB / ATA100 / 3 DDR DIMMs / AC'97 sound.
Both boards uses Crush12 chipset which supports PC133 / DDR266 and has 128 bit graphics memory interface (Crush11 has 64 bit interface).
Later (previously was planned by the end of 2001 but may be delayed) NVIDIA will release chipsets with new graphics core (NV17 - the successor of NV11 aka GeForce2 MX) with higher speeds and DX8 support - Crush17 and Crush18. They will provide pin-to-pin/drivers compatibility with Crush11/12 and will support DDR266/333 (128 bit for Crush18 and 64 bit for Crush17).
