Hi. Sorry for not speaking in your native language. I can't even speak a word in Italian.
I'am looking for some information, and hopefully someone can speak english and help me with my questions. I have DSL-G624T, and I'am pretty happy with that box. Right now i have DSL-G624T_V3.00B01T01.SP-A.20060612. That's because it fix problems with p2p. It's good firmware but it seems to have some bugs too. I am unable to connect to my box via telnet. I enabled Remote Telnet Management and put 0.0.0.0 as netmask - so it should let me connect from anywhere. Every time when I am trying to connect to my box (outside my LAN), it refuse connection. I even disabled firewall in my box, but still same issue. Can't connect. Did anyone having some firmware as mine can confirm or deny such problem ? I have also problem with ssh. I am trying to connect to my computer via ssh. Same problem like with telnet, router refuse my connection. I set up a rule for Virtual Server - called ssh - port start 22, port end 22, port map 22 - applied this rule to my computer - save and reboot. But router again refuse my connection. Maybe I am doing something wrong ? If so, can anyone tell me how to correctly set up router to redirect any incoming connection on port 22 to my computer? I found also at the begining of this thread that there is new firmware V3.00B01T02.EU-A.20060720. Can anyone tell me if it is good for p2p?. Next question is - can anyone heard about cm_cli command line tool ?. Did anyone have some manual for it?. And one more question about firmware. Can anyone know the site like this one "http://mcmcc.bat.ru/dlinkt/" where i can found some information about building the firmware. On the above page, you can find some usefull information, but building manual is in russian. Or maybe someone know some places with alternative to original firmware? Thanks in advice ! |

If so, you have to try ssh access from an external PC. However with your same firmware I have many Virtual Server rules, and all of them work flawlessly. Quote:

I was making 4 types of test. 1). Telnet from internal network (LAN) to router using numeric IP address result: no problem, connection established 2). Telnet from internal network (LAN) to router using NAME as address. NAME = DDNS name of my computer result: problem, connection refused 3). Telnet from external network to router using IP address result: problem, connection refused 4). Telnet from external network to router using NAME as address. NAME = DDNS name of my computer result: problem, connection refused I was calling to tech. support - they told me to put in Remote Telnet Management the exact IP address which I am using to telneting from. I other words that mean - if you are using for example 7.7.7.7 and netmask 0.0.0.0 (which supposed to work with any address) it won't work!. I have not test this method yet, I will try today. So. If you have no problem with telnet, can you tell me if you telneting from external network or internal? Quote:

According to problems with my ssh connection, tech support suggest to me to download EU firmware, they told me that there is an option (Web Interface) that enables/disables remote ssh. I think that if there is such option in Web Interface, that there should be possible to change it (enable or disable) via telnet. Anyone know how to do it? My guess is to change option in XML file, but which one ? What can I also do is to FLASH my router one more time, then reset to default values, and after that put again my setting via Web Interface (without using of configuration file). |

Did you check in the ADVANCED - FIREWALL section? There are options to block external Telnet and FTP sessions, including other options to prevent DDOS attacks. Maybe telnet is forbidden there. Sorry if I ask silly questions ![]()
