Modem Intel 537 notebook

Salve
Ho installato SuSE 9.1 su un portatile ASUS A2500D e il modem viene visto (intel 537), però non riesco a connettermi, perchè?
Ho installato anche i smartlink, però non si collega e il log di inizializzazione è:
