Ace's Hardware ha pubblicato alcune informazioni riguardo a dei benchmarks del chipset AMD760 + memorie DDR apparsi su un sito hardware tedesco. Le memorie utilizzate sono DDR PC1600 (200Mhz, 100Mhz*2) in quanto tale chipset supporta soltanto operazioni "sincrone" tra memoria e FSB, e quindi con le attuali cpu AMD dotata dei bus EV6 a 200Mhz è possibile utilizzare soltanto memorie PC1600; le memorie PC2100 (266mhz, 133Mhz*2) saranno utilizzabili solo a partire dalle future cpu AMD con supporto al bus EV6 a 266Mhz. L'incremento prestazionale si attesta intorno al 10%, anche in applicazioni reali quali ad esempio Q3Arena (gioco fortemente dipendente dalle prestazioni della memoria; probabilmente con la maggior parte dei giochi, specialmente D3D l'incremento sarà minore) rispetto allo stesso sistema ma con memorie PC133 CAS2. Il risultato è sicuramente buono, considerando che sono state impiegate memorie a 200Mhz e non a 266Mhz:

The magazine indicates an 8% increase in SYSmark 2000 and a 10% boost to Quake 3 frame rates when using a TNT2-Ultra, over a KT133 system equipped with PC133 2-2-2 SDRAM. These results are very positive, especially considering PC1600 (DDR 200 MHz) memory was used instead of the faster PC2100 (DDR 266 MHz) variety. The reason behind the use of PC1600 DDR SDRAM in the tests is because the 760 chipset requires synchronous operation of the memory bus with the CPU. Since AMD has yet to release processors using a 133 MHz FSB (DDR 266 MHz), PC1600 is the best it can do for the time being. The potential downside is that users looking to swap out their existing motherboards for a 760/DDR solution may find themselves stuck with PC1600 memory unless the CPU is replaced as well.
