Ok peeps, since nobody's come up with a reasonable solution here goes. The original is clearly the Italian. You can tell this right from the second line of the English:

JFC, just what is that supposed to mean? You can tell that this is a grave misinterpretation of the Italian and just doesn't make sense at all.

There are other ridiculous mistakes as well but I won't go into them.

Correct. It is a polite way of saying "I am sorry" or "Could you repeat?", quite common in the UK.

Another good expression, also formal, is I beg to differ, meaning "I disagree".
