grazie jonny, in realtà ormai ho pensato di mettere un box semplice tra quelli che si trovano su ekey..quando troverò qualcosa di davvero completo (usb 3.0 + firewire + esata + thunderbolt )comprerò un altro box definitivo..
sarei quasi tentato di prendere il wd caviar green da 3tb ma per ora mi accontento di un 2tb a causa delle scarse finanze

tra quelli di ekey (usb 3.0) quale mi conviene scegliere?
Fantec DB-ALU3
LC-Power LC-35USB3
Techsolo TMR-755S (purtroppo questo modello non c'è nel sito ufficiale e ti chiedo cortesemente di guardare direttamente su ekey)

personalmente il fantec mi piace molto come estetica

Il fantec probabilmente è il più bello
io credo prenderò l'lc (in versione sata/usb2.0) perchè è molto diffuso ed ha un prezzo accettabile

Credo che anche come marchio fantec non sia niente male

Aspetta altri commenti magari... io procedo all'acquisto in settimana...
Sono indeciso sull'hd...
WD wd10ears oppure Samsung HD103Sj...

purtroppo proprio poche ore fa il fantec è scomparso dal catalogo

l'ici l'avevo considerato perchè costa poco e ha sia usb che esata..però io porte esata sul pc non ne ho..potrei comperare una schedina pci con 2 porte ma a quel punto tanto vale che me ne prendo una usb 3.0 (una 30ina di euro viene)..

a questo punto aspetto di vedere se torna il fantec sennò vado di techsolo..mi pare abbia pure caratteristiche migliori...

Un caro amico australiano (sono arrivato in australia a rompere le balls ) mi ha risposto così con 3 mp

1)
"I've only just recently added the WD, and have only run it when the Samsung was also running - so I can't really comment on which one is quieter.
I use the Samsung as my main storage drive and the WD as a backup, so the WD is asleep most of the time.

-WD takes longer to spin up
-WD makes a weird sucking noise as it spins up
-WD is only 5400rpm (I think?)

Personally, if I was only going to have 1 drive in my PC, it would the Samsung."

Just had a quick listen to the drives, the WD is quieter, but noticeably slower to spin up.

3)
Idle - the WD is quieter than the Samsung.
Writing and reading - the WD is MUCH quieter than the Samsung.
BUT, I believe the Samsung is faster (7200 vs 5400). And although it's louder than the WD, the Samsung is still very quiet.
They're both good drives

The reason I bought the WD was because it was $10 cheaper than another Samsung, and also I just wanted to try something different.
