Buena serra, bonjour, hello...
I'm French, not speaking enough Italian, sorry for that ! I just install uamod on my DGN 2200 V4 and all seems to be working well so far. There is one thing that I don't know how to do : I want and can access my router Netgear pages from remote location through https://0.0.0.0:8443, but how to access the uamod pages from remote location ? Using the port 8082 instead of 8443 doesn't the job ! Can you help me ? Thanks in advance, grazie mille Ultima modifica di Dangze : 02-11-2014 alle 12:19. |

Thank you Alfonso !
Unfortunateley, I could not test anymore as I'm facing a (big) problem : I cannot access to the uamod pages anymore ! When I click on the up-right "uamod" button, I am send to 192.168.2.1/a, where I get a message "404 Not found, The resource you have requested is not available". ! If I try to go to 192.168.2.1:8082, I get the message : "Connection failed, Firefox cannot establish a connection to the server". I have tried reverting to the original Netgear firmware, resetting to factory settings, reinstalling uamod firmware, but nothing changes. I also tried using Internet Explorer, and even restarting my computer, all without success !... So I don't know what to do. The modem can connect to Internet without problem, and the Netgear pages are available at 192.168.2.1 as well as from remote location using https://0.0.0.0:8443. Can you help me to find a solution, or is my modem definitely corrupted ? Ultima modifica di Dangze : 02-11-2014 alle 11:45. |

I have no idea what happened.
Have you changed the amod port to something else than 8082? If so, try to go to 192.126.2.1:8082 192.126.2.1:THE_PORT_YOU_USED if you set as amod port the same port you are using to connect to the router from the WAN side: change in the netgear pages the port you use for WAN connection to the netgear pages reboot try to go to 192.126.2.1:THE_PORT_YOU_USED to connecto to the amod pages from the WAN you must use a different port for netgear pages and amod pages select the "WAN Access" option in services amod amoon no you can connecto from the wan to http://your_public_address:AMOD_PORT |

Thank you Alfonso for your prompt answer !
I may have change the port by error, but I think that if I reset everything an reinstall uamod, the default port (8082) should be also reset, no ? The port for Netgear page is the default port (80). Anyway, the port for amod pages seems correct because when I use 8082, the page displays first the normal up horizontal and right vertical lines, and even the left column, then the error message "Connection failed" is displayed 3 times (1 above the horizontal line, 1 in the left column and 1 below the horizontal line. If I use another port, the lines do not appear and the error message is then displayed only once !... The problem now is that I cannot access to the amod pages and consequently I cannot change nothing ! I just tried re-install uamod a new time downloading the file again from your server, and the problem remains ! Do you have an idea why when I click the uamod button, the displayed adress is 192.168.2.1/a ? It seems to me that it should be different, no ? I will keep trying everything before I return the router back to the supplier ! Please help me ! |

you setup a port to access the router from the wan
in the netgear pages, change this port to something else if that port is used to access the netgear pages from the wan, when the amod web server is launched if founds the port busy and so it cannot start you probably changed the amod port to match the port used to access the netgear pages from the wan side so, change that port to something else in the netgear pages, save, reboot the router and try to access the amod pages from there if it doesn't work, try to connect the router via telnet and do service webd start and report the result here |

Alfonso,
I must confirm that this problem arises when connecting to my router locally, not from remote location; that means that I have no more access to uamod configuration ! Now, I'm trying to connect to the router using putty/telnet, but what port should I use ? The default 23 return a "Connection refused" message ! Thanks again, I'm afraid you are going to spend a lot of time with my problem... Edit: Well, I just again did the following : - install the Netgear firmware (uamod removed) - reset to factory settings - install uamod firmware and the uamod pages are still not available !!! If the port has been changed "by mistake", why this is not reset by such handlings ? Also, why is the uamod button sending to 192.168.2.1/a , not to 192.168.2.1:8082 ? Is there a way to completely clear the memory of this device ?... Ultima modifica di Dangze : 02-11-2014 alle 15:11. |

listen
it seems from here that the uamod configuration web server cannot be started because of it finds its port busy its port is 8082 or whatever you set amod configuration is still there, so the last port you set is used do you remember which port it is? probably it is a port used somewhere else in the netgear configuration pages it is probably the port you choose to connect from the wan stop flashing firmwares, it doesn't solve your problem so for the n-th times: go to the netgear configuration pages and change the port used to access the router from the wan, save and reboot now try to access amod configuration pages using that port |

When you say "change the port used to access the router from the wan", you mean the remote management port ? I already try to change it several times.
Unfortunately, no success with this ! The problem is that I didn't intentionaly changed the port, so it seems that a corruption has been made somewhere. What I am surprised by is that we cannot clear the mistake. Where is stored this parameter. Can we access to it, even using an "intrusive" method ? Sorry again to disturb you... are you using the very last available version of uamod?
because in the last version, exactly for problems like these, I added a fall back mechanism so that if the web server cannot use the user port, it binds to 8082 anyway I hope you can solve your problem |

I am using the version found here : http://alfie.altervista.org/amod2200V4/
Well, this does not sound good for me !... Anyway, I installed telnetEnable.exe, but when I type C:\telnet>telnetEnable.exe 192.168.2.1 200CC8197FC Gearguy Geardog in the command windows (with administrative rights), nothing happens !... Once again, where is the problem ? Edit : IT WORKS !!! I didn't have understand that after running telnetEnable I had to use puTTy to telnet the device ! So I just input the command and re-install uamod, and now I HAVE ACCESS TO THE uamod PAGES !!! Many thanks to you Alfonso, and congratulations for your works. Arrivederci, grazie mille. since I recovered my uamod pages "in local", I am trying again to open them from remote location. So, I did set the option "WAN access" and done a restart as indicated, but I still cannot get access to the uamod pages when using the port 8082 (or any other port changed in the uamod web server page). Must I activate the SSL box ? Anyway, I will appreciate if you can have a look at this feature in the coming days... Best regards from Lyon. |

it works here
to access amod pages from the WAN you must write in the browser location something like http://your_pubblic_address:8082 |

It's exactly what I did !
Anyway, I'll will give it a new try in the coming hours or ... days. Just confirm me whether I must check the SSL box or not. Thanks again. Edit : it must be http or https as for Netgear pages ?... This could be the issue ! Ultima modifica di Dangze : 02-11-2014 alle 18:51. |
