Ciao,
vedo nella config di Nao1 che l'ha impostata per trovare le librerie con 'find' anzichè
con 'slocate'. Come mai ? Slocate è molto ma molto più veloce. E controindicazioni
non ne ho riscontrate.
Naturalmente non c'è vena polemica nella mia domanda ma da estimatore Slack
cerco di approfondire quindi se ci fossero problemi con l'uso di Slocate mi farebbe
piacere saperlo.

il locate si basa su un db, quindi le ricerche sono aggiornate all' ultimo aggiornamento del db (updatedb), il find fa la ricerca al momento, per quello e piu lento.

slocate è velocissimo, ma devi avere il db aggiornato, cosa che non faccio mai (anche perchè con l'hd pieno ci mette 10 minuti ).
find è lento, ma almeno funziona sempre

Solo la prima volta ti fa attendere un paio di minuti dopo aver dato updatedb, poi
con cron ogni giorno lo fa in automatico e te ne puoi scordare completamente.
Non è neanche macchinoso, puoi dare un'occhiata in:
swaret --faq slocate
