Ho comprato ad Agosto 2024 un disco da 12TB usato da Amazon (ricondizionato dato per nuovo) e ai tempi avevo guardato solo il dato S.M.A.R.T.
Ad oggi riguardando invece con il tool smartctl risulta che è acceso da 24740 ore, quasi 3 anni : Codice:

Si, ma viene riportato che non basta lo SMART e servirebbe controllare il resto: " Solo interrogando i valori FARM (Field Accessible Reliability Metrics) è possibile scoprire le reali ore di funzionamento."
In effetti mi devo ancora mettere a controllare i miei HD 'nuovi' di WD con smartctl per controllare se hanno qualche problema di... età ![]()

C'è qualcuno che volendo provare la versione per Windows di smartctl è in grado di visualizzare un report 'FARM' simile a quello di @Lain84?
Ho installato la versione grafica v2.0.1 di https://github.com/ashaduri/gsmartco...ses/tag/v2.0.1 citato nelle News di SmartMonTools: ![]() ma non appare niente del genere sul mio WD Purple. E nulla che si riferisca ad un Farm log. ![]() Usando l'exeguibile smartmontools-7.4-1.win32-setup.exe per Windows il risultato su un HDD WD è: ![]() Quindi non si può andare oltre lo SMART con gli HDD di Western Digital?

Se li vendono come usati qualche domanda me la farei . Se li usi per un Nas devi comprarli nuovi c'è poco da dare . Ho trovato un ottimo venditore dalla Germania che vende ironwolf pro 16 TB a 190 euro l'uno l'estate scorsa nuovi di pacca e sigillati tra l'altro . Spendere poco meno per averli usati non ha senso

In teoria dovrebbero essere interessati tutti i formati di hd e ssd. Se viene venduto come nuovo di solito sono presenti sigilli , confezioni sottovuoto con chiusura termosaldata . Smart dice tutto comunque , un HD molto usato ha settori danneggiati

personalmente e per i miei clienti da sempre prendo i dischi solo dai distributori ufficiali ed autorizzati dei rispettivi brand.
Chiaramente chi non può accedere ai grossisti magari cerca le occasioni su Amazon e simili, ma non metterei mai i miei dati su dischi di tale provenienza, salvo che siano in sistemi RAID, o che ci siano altre forme di backup affidabili. quando leggo un "rigenerato nuovo"... penso alla definizione di ossimoro. ha tanto senso quanto un "acido basico" |
