[Etch] Finestre che non compaiono e icone che scompaiono
Ciao
Nelle ultime 2 settimane non ho usato Debian se non per avviare un paio di programmi. Il che significa che non sono mai entrato nella Home. Oggi cerco di accedere alla home del mio utente e non ci riesco. Sul desktop, faccio doppio click sull'icona della Home ma la cartella non si apre. Idem se tento con Risorse -> Home. Il desktop ha anche un altro problema: appena partito le icone ci sono anche se non funzionanti, se apro un programma (quelli funzionano) e successivamente lo riduco a icona, le icone del desktop scompaiono e rimane solo lo sfondo. Neanche il tasto DX funziona. Cosa succede? Ciao e grazie |

Tengo a precisare che se faccio login con un altro utente, le cartelle si aprono.
XMMS in avvio automatico al login del mio utente funziona. Se lancio altri programmi, per esempio VLC o OpenOffice, funzionano. Il controllo remoto tramite RealVNC funziona. L'accesso FTP funziona ed anche Samba. Deduco che anche Apache, MySql e PHP funzionino in quanto ho tentato con successo di aprire un sito Joomla in locale. Quando ho tentato di fare login sul forum, mi si è aperta un pagina vuota di Gedit e il nome file era login.php. Una volta chiusa e ritentato il login, sono entrato. Qualche file corrotto/problemi sul disco?
Intanto controlla con dmesg che in seguito ad un errore non venga riportato qualche problema sul disco. Quindi, un badblocks sulla partizione e un fsck sul file system non farebbero male.

Grazie per la risposta.
Il disco è un WD SATA da 320 GB di 3 mesi, ne controllo la temperatura costantemente con HDDTemp e l'ho vista una sola volta a 40°C. Un cluster danneggiato potrebbe esserci. Controllo anche con il tool della WD. Ciao |

Ho dato il comando badcluster su sda1, ha frullato per un po' ma non mi è ritornato nessun errore, nel senso che dopo qualche minuto non è venuto fuori niente.

Nessun errore rilevato. Quindi probabilmente c'è qualche file corrotto, che fsck potrebbe o meno correggere.
Puoi sempre cancellare e ricreare il profilo utente problematico, facendo il backup dei dati (ma non della configurazione dell'utente, ad eccezione di contatti, segnalibri ecc. che puoi esportare/reimportare).

Provato con fsck /dev/sda1 da live di Mepis 7 e il risultato è stato:

Sarei passato all'azione durante il prossimo fine settimana ma non è stato necessario.
