AnandTech ha pubblicato una preview molto interessante della motherboard FIC AD11, disponibile a questo indirizzo. Tale motherboard è dotata dell'attesissimo chipset AMD 760 ed è stata testata con memorie DDR funzionanti a 200Mhz (PC1600, il nome deriva dalla banda disponibile con esse, che è di 1,6Gb/sec). Dai bench si può notare un'incremento medio di crica 6-10% rispetto alla piattaforma KT133 con SDram PC133, mentre un incremento decisamente molto ridotto in confronto alla piattaforma Intel i815. Per ora il sito di Anand risulta essere accessibile non a tutti gli utenti, spero che nelle prossime ore la situazione migliori. Di seguito ecco parte del commento di tale articolo, espresso da Ace's Hardware:

Intel's Windows Media Encoder benchmark produced some interesting numbers. The DDR platform is marked at 129, while the i815 once again trails slightly behind at 122. Interestingly, however, the i820/PC800 system is well below the rest of the systems, at 73. One would expect a bandwidth intensive benchmark such as this one to at least favor PC800 DRDRAM's 1.6GB/s bandwidth (despite its latency issues) over the PC133 systems.

The AMD-760 test platform leads the KT133 system by 11 and 16 percent in Sandra's integer and floating-point STREAM benchmarks respectively. While i815 often closes the gap in many of these results, KT133 is usually off in the distance. It would be interesting to see a comparison to VC SDRAM, since the KT133 yields better results with VCM. Furthermore, a PC100 comparison would be interesting, at least from a purely academic point of view, to illustrate the performance difference associated with DDR over SDR.
