Microsoft Internet Explorer New ActiveX Object String Concatenation Memory Corruption Vulnerability

Security Focus riporta un bollettino di sicurezza (Bugtraq ID: 30219) in cui si spiega che è stata trovata una vulnerabilità in Microsoft Internet Explorer che esporrebbe il computer di un utente ignaro ad attacchi di tipo remote memory-corruption.

Un attacker da remoto può sfruttare questa falla per far andar in crash l'applicazione affetta dal bug e negare il servizio al leggittimo user (DoS). Data la natura della falla non si esclude che il malintenzionato sia in grado di eseguire codice arbitrario malevolo, ma questo non è stato confermato.
