debian ultima versione
raga mi sapete dire qual'è l'ultima versione di debian buona per i 64 bit (ho un dual core vorrei sapere con quale debian lo posso sfruttare a pieno) ho sentito di una versione instable che dicono che è la migliore in giro secondo voi si può utilizzare? se si mi date un link al file? grazie mille

Ti consiglio debian testing, installata tramite netinst:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/da...64-netinst.iso Testing è una via di mezzo fra stable e unstable. Se vorrai upgradare a unstable ti basterà, una volta installata, modificare /etc/apt/sources.list sostituendo a lenny (o testing) sid (o unstable). Infine è sufficiente dare un apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade per aggiornare. Se installi unstable e non sei ferrato con linux al primo problema non sapresti dove metter mano e dovraiformattare. Essendo unstable una distro di sviluppo la presenza di qualche bug è assicurata e di fronte a problemi pur sempre ridicoli come xorg che non si avvia un newbie potrebbe gettare facilmente la spugna.
In sintesi ti consiglio lenny (testing). Quote:

cmq ti consiglio di mettere la versione a 32 bit.. ancora il 64 è poco sfruttato e potresti avere alcune incompatibilità

Del tipo? Basta con questo mito delle incompatibilità per favore, le cose si sono evolute da 5 anni a questa parte.
