Che Core 2 duo è questo?
Salve a tutti.
Sto cercando di capire con precisione che cpu gira dentro un Optiplex 755 (vedi in firma), per valutare cosa ci guadagnerei con un upgrade (per uso generale casalingo/browsing/muletto rete locale: no gaming ma solo per star dietro all'evoluzione del SW). Dai dati che ho non riesco a inquadrarlo, vedete voi: io non ci ho capito molto ('ID'? 'signature'?). Queste le specifiche di dmidecode 3.0 relative alla sola cpu: Getting SMBIOS data from sysfs. Per i valori qua riportati non sono riuscito a capire che modello di core2 sia. Non è che cammini malaccio, per quel che mi serve, ma dato che ci sto per montare un po' di ram (ora sto a 4 x 1Gb), mi è venuta voglia di dare una limatina anche alla cpu (con un quad di bassi consumi, tipo q9400 o simili). E ho da sapere se il resto del system merita e regge l'upgrade (alimentazione, fans ecc.) l'upgrade, che poi se marcia bene gli regalo pure un ssd. Attendo lumi. ma non lo puoi accendere? Da Windows si ricava subito che cosa è, altrimenti live boot di Ubuntu e te lo dice anche lui, altrimenti non saprei come fare, a parte aprirlo... In ogni caso non credo che guadagnerete chissà che da 2 a 4 core, vista l'anzianità dell'hw non so quanto ne valga la pena

Probabile chi ce lo aveva prima, un mio amico, ci ha messo le mani in qualche modo (quasi sicuro, per dirne una, il 6600 ammesso che sia un 6600, non è originale) per cui sono saltati i valori di specifica originali e per qualche motivo vengono riportati dati errati: se 6600 è, non è certo un core 2 duo come descritto da lshw (o dal suo interprete grafico cup-x), che di per sè lavora benone. Insomma, lo apro e vedo cosa ci trovo, ma intanto ipotizzo valori originali e con quelli valuto (e cerco pareri) se regge uno dei quad suddetti. Ci sentiamo
