Router o Access Point?
Ciao a tutti,
Dunque, attualmente ho una rete lan formata da tre pc e un router adsl wireless (porte: usb, lan, adsl e phone) collegati a uno switch. Il router consente la connessione a internet a tutti i pc. Ora, il mio è un vecchio router e (mi è stato detto) non supporta le nuove velocità (alice 2mb mi è stata passata a 7mb), quindi dovrei cambiarlo. Un conoscente mi ha suggerito di prendere un access point wi-fi (d-link airplus g dwl-g700ap), ma la cosa mi lascia abbastanza perplesso... Il router è questo:
http://assistenza.tiscali.it/adsl/gu...ess/index.html Che ha le porte: usb, lan, adsl e phone. Per vecchie velocità intendo la Alice 2MB, che mi è stata recentemente passata a 7MB. Leggevo che per sfruttare queste nuove velocità devo utilizzare un modem\outer che supporti l'ADSL2... giusto? Il problema è che mi è stato detto di prendere un access point, ma anche cercando in google non ho ben capito di cosa si tratti... Ho visto delle immagini dove l'access point aveva solo la porta LAN, e non ADSL (come mi connetto a internet sennò?) altre dove c'era un router con 4 porte lan, una WAN e nessuna ADSL... Sono confuso! :\ |

Mmm... E per quanto riguarda le altre domande? Il mio router include quindi anche un access point? (access point = modem wireless?)

Che c'entra il fatto che abbia due antenne?

tu hai chiesto se avesse un apparato wireless integrato, quindi le 2 antenne fanno da access point
quindi tu hai un router wireless adsl per il problema della lentezza le cause potrebbero essere altre
