Per me è ridicolo credere in un Dio, questo Dio, e strapparsi i capelli davanti ad una statua della Madonna, o essere convinti che Padre Pio ti abbia guarito da un tumore mentre magari tratti quelli che davvero ti hanno curato come camerieri, che vuoi che ti dica. Il tutto è abbastanza soggettivo e piuttosto relativo.

Il problema dell'uomo è stato già una volta ben enucleato dal sommo Kant: l'uomo, per la sua natura finita, non è in grado di perseguire la moralità per la moralità: necessita quindi di un "premio", di un riconoscimento che lo stimoli in questo:
ovvero: la religione è un ottimo strumento per costringere l'uomo a seguire la legge morale...
Il grosso guaio è che in molti non accettano l'esistenza di una morale laica, né il rapporto religione - morale di cui sopra... e questo dà alla religione poteri maggiori di quelli di "garante della moralità".
