qualcuno ha avuto la fortuna di provare sia sotto xp che sotot vista sullo stesso sistema?
perche io ora sdono sotto vista ma se dite che va meglio sotto xp formatto

va sicuramente meglio sotto xp...senza neanche pensarci sopra.... almeno fino all'uscita del sp1 per vista...poi si vedrà se è davvero come dicono, cioè performance aumentate del 20%.......mmmm....mi sembra un po' troppo cmq!!

secondo me, fino a 1680x1050 (1.7 Mpixel), basta ancora una 512MB. Oltre, è consigliabile più memoria.

Infatti 1600x1200 sono già praticamente 2 Mpixel, cioè quasi il 15% in più

stalker a 1680x1050 tutto al max con 16xAF ci sta paro paro nei 512mb d memoria video...anzi ogni tanto li sofra d 30/40mb usando quella nn locale...cmq nn impatta le performance...si vede xkè cmq la sfora d poco...ciao

p.s. cmq a proproisto d "vga charts" consiglio quella d digit-life al post d quella d tom...anke xkè provano + gioki, in molte + modalità e viene aggiornata + o - ogni mese ad ogni release dei driver...

da queste charts (che avevo già visto) emerge una sostanziale parità tra la GTS640 e la 2900XT

dovendo scegliere tra le due, probabilmente preferirei la 2900xt per una questione di architettura, ma come prestazioni fondamentalmente si equivalgono.

inoltre le 2900xt si iniziano a trovare a prezzo discreto, sul mercato dell'usato. sotto i 300€. Quando ne troverò una sotto i 250€, se non sarà uscita una top di gamma nuova, la prenderò come transizione...

anche io preferisco la 2900xt, perchè ora è a parità della GTS ma, se continua il trend di ottimizzazione performance dei driver, da qui a pochissimo potrebbe avvenire il definitivo sorpasso. La 2900xt ha margini di miglioramento sicuramente superiori alla GTS

+ che altro quando viene fuori atitool 0.27 beta 3 si potrà alzare il voltaggio da sw !!!! scusate se è poco !!! e via oltre i 900mhz!!! c'è chi alza gli shader e chi overvolta senza stagnatore !!!!

poi a liquido con le 8800 si diventa cretini perchè wb a parte bisogna reffreddare tutto il resto con i classici dissipatorini del cxxxo che si staccano sempre o acquistare appositi wb che costano oltre € 120, mentre il dissy di serie dell'ati sembra fatto apposta, rimane giusto il buco sulla gpu x il wb !!!!!
