Raga sono ancora indeciso se prendere una MSi K8N Neo2 Platinum che mi serve l'AGP oppure sta scheda.Anche perchè acrei l'intenzione di portare la CPU a 2600Mhz in OC.

Non è tanto per un fattore si prezzo.Ma nessune che l'ha ha avuto anche una scheda con Nforce3? E' facile dire che va bene ma se non si hanno dei riscontroi con qualcosa di precedente come si posso fare delle comparazioni?

Io ho una MSI Neo2...però la Asrock mi arriva domani...ti farò sapere,ma per OC e come dotazione HW la MSI è un'altra cosa..sopratutto con dei bios modded che sono di facile reperibilità...c'è ne è uno che ti permette di arrivare a 1.75 di Vcore....io ho un beta modded...nel pannello di controllo delle ram ho una decina di parametri su cui poter agire...la Asrock costa 70 Euro mediamente...la Neo2 110/120 Euro....

HL2 mi è rimasto in sospeso e voglio finirlo!!

FEAR mi sa che con la mia misera 9800XT non ce la faccio

a 280x8Mhz e ram a 230Mhz (DDR460) con 6-2-2-2.5 si comporta egregiamente.

Unico problema balordo il RIAVVIO...devo sempre spegnere al posto di riavviare....maledetto ocwbeta2

Io ho i tuoi stessi problemi di boot a seguito di un riavvio, ma le ho provate tutte e il problema non è risolto, ho provato tutti i bios ma ho notato che è proprio un limite della scheda madre a me lo fa quando imposto il bus @300 infatti adesso l'ho portato @290.

Mi pisegate meglio i programmi che crashano che faccio ulteriori prove

Io ho un Raid0 su controller PCI Adaptec...delle porte della Asrock mi serve solo una IDE...le differenze saranno principalmente che nella Asrock il mio processore andrà al massimo a 2500(dovrebbe essere garantito per tali frequenze) con la vmod(spero sgrat sgrat) ma non potrò sfruttare le ram al 100% sulla msi come divisori per le ram ho 100/133/150/166/183/200....uso quello da 183 ora...ram@254....sulla Asrock ram@231 .....solo che ho in programma di mollare l'oc e di recuperare un X2 se riesco....per le mie esigenze è più adatto...anche se la msi ha tirato fuori stò bios devo dire che ha corretto una marea di problemi che affliggevano la mia configurazione....vedremo chi rimarrà nel case

No problem , il problema dei divisori te lo risolve a64tweaker , e' vero che lo devi settare da win , ma meglio di neinte.....

In tutta franchezza settare da win non mi ispira per niente....avevo una AN7...mio dio,settando da win che incubo......non mi ispira per niente anche se sulla neo2 generalmente la modifica dei parametri da win sono sempre andati bene...a parte proprio alcuni timing con A64 (ovviamente timing non troppo spinti,ma adatti alle TCCD che avevo) .........dimenticavo...sulla neo2 il t1 fino a 300 non è un problema...a patto di avere ram capaci e memory controller adeguato..

...Cmq puoi lasciarlo anche tutta la notte sotto prime, secondo me è tempo sprecato, fai moooolto prima a buttare su un floppy memtest86+ e fargli fare il test n° 8. Se passa quello sei apposto.

se vuoi aggiornare il primo post rigurado allo zalman 7700 cu ...in pratica nn urta da nessuna parte.... le ram sono estraibili comunque sia nello slot bul e naturalmente quello nero che è il piu lontano dalla CPU ...sul lato superiore esce appena mezzo cm fuori ... fatevi i vostri conti a se volete qualche foto ve la posto vado a prendere la digitale e vi faccio il servizzietto fotografico ...

vorrei delle info riguarda ahi bios citati.... ma esiste quello che aumeta il vcore ...a qualcono è stato inviato un bios mod ----l'1.30 nn da grandi risultati

Eccomi qua ieri ho montato tutto ma ho avuto un po da fare ma cmq sembra andar bene ho ancora il bios 1.10 ma appena setto tutto x bene lo cambio.Ho fatto un paio di 3Dmark03 tutto a default tranne la Asus v9999LE@Gt 380/810 ma con i driver 66.71 e ho fatto 10850...Una curiosità x chi monta una VGA Asus AGP,a voi SmartDoctor funziona?

1. INTRODUCTION

ULi IDE Cache and Utility 1.06 is a driver about IDE device read ahead control. this
driver is for Windows 95/Windows 98/Windows 98SE and Windows Millennium.
When read-ahead is enabled, the cache controller module will accordding to current
read-ahead buffer size and cache frequency access your hard disk to speed up access
performance. In fact, IDE Cache Control Center will automatically determine when to
read ahead data to cache memory according to current disk read status. The size of
read-ahead data buffer and read-ahead frequency can be optionally changed by ULi IDE
Cache Control Center depends on the need of users. The disk access frequency for big
files or large continuous disk sectors is directly proportional to setting read-ahead
buffer. In contrast, if small files or big files with discontinuous disk sectors were
accessed often, you can set read-ahead buffer to be less to reduce useless data being
read to cache memory.
The default setting is the biggest read-ahead buffer size and the highest cache
frequency.

installing the ULi mini-IDE driver. ULi mini-IDE is a mini driver
for Windows 2000/Xp. It is compliant to Microsoft in-box driver to
tune running mode when device or system is unstable. It also helps

(CD, CD-RW, DVD...) for older ULi chips.

2. IDE Set Mode Utility
-----------------------

This utility is used to set device timing mode as PIO, DMA, or Ultra DMA.
Its main purpose is to solve some device "compatibility" problems.

For example, your CDROM drive reports its capability that it can run "DMA"
and "PIO" timing mode.
Due to device firmware bug or some other reason, this device cannot work on DMA mode.
In this case, you can run "IDE Set Mode Utility" to set device timing mode as PIO.

The utility is in "Start->Programs->uLi Products->IDE Set Mode Utility".

After you run it, you can use its default setting with "Auto" checked.
When "Auto" is checked, device will run its best timing mode.

In this case, if you want to change device timing mode as PIO, you can uncheck "AUto"
item and then move mouse cursor to click on slider bar, draw it to "PIO".
After you change timing mode and click "OK", you will be notified to "Restart" your
system for this new setting to work.

You can control each device to run at different timing mode by clicking on "DEV0", "DEV1"
, "DEV2" and "DEV3".

When "Auto" is checked, device will run its best timing mode.
When "Auto" is unchecked, you can move mouse cursor to click on slider bar, draw it to
different timing mode like "PIO", "DMA", "UDMA33", "UDMA66", "UDMA100/133".

"Running Mode" means the current timing mode of the selected device (DEV0/DEV1/DEV2/DEV3).

Come scritto anche prima e nel sito hanno solo implementato il riconoscimento di alcuni modelli di CPU prima non riconosciuti
