KDE e risoluzione grafica, helpme
Salve sto usando KDE su di una Slackware 9
Il mio monitor è settato a 10024X768 e il problema è che con Windows sono abituato (a parte quando devo fare dei lavori di grafica) su 800X600 perchè così mi da un po' fastidio alla vista (non so perchè ma oltre ad un maggiore affaticamento della vista mi causa mal di testa e un lieve senso di vertigini dopo un po') Ho provato a smanacciare un po' e sono entrato in Settings---->Control Center poi da li ho fatto Pheripherals---->Display e mi si è aperta un'interfaccia grafica molto bellina chiamata xFree86 Configuration da li sono andato sotto la voce Monitor, visto che qui mi sembra tutto a posto ho lasciato come stava e ho clickato sul tasto forward e da questa nuova schermata ho impostato il monitor su 800X600, dice che salva le modifiche sul file di configurazione e di riavviare l'interfaccia grafica... Lo faccio ed ho la brutta sorpresa...il risultato ottenuto fa schifo...ottengo una grafica tutta sfalzata e bruttissima (per esempio l'orologio mi va a finire troppo a destra per metà fuori dalla visuale del monitor mi pare) e non riesco nenache a leggere bene i caratteri...come mai? Altra cosa strana...provo a fare il procedimento inverso riportando la risoluzione a 10024X768 ma riavviando la grafica mi rimane quella caccolosa dell'800X600...in finale ho dovuto sostituire il file X86config con una copia di backup che mi ero fatto prima di fare le modifiche per sicurezza ed è tornato tutto normale....come mai? Altra cosa ancora: ci sono molti programmi (per esempio Xchat e kvirc) che hanno i caratteri piccolini...e mi uccidono la vista...non c'è modo di riuscire a vederli un po' più grossi?nei settaggi dei programmi non ho trovato l'opzione sulle dimensioni del testo... Grazie |

non sono motlo esperto di linux...che cos'è XF86config-4, io conosco solo XF86Config?In che directoru sta?
Io in /etc/X11 ho solo XF86config, XF86Config-vesa, XF86Config-fbdev XF86Config.kxconfig.backup ?!?! Poi come mai succede che quando gli riportava la risoluzione a 10024X768 da 800X600 non ci tornava?!?! |

E' il file di configurazione di xfree4, posta /var/log/X... (non mi ricordo il nome esatto, insomma il log di xfree).
E poi scheda video e monitor? |

Dentro /var/log non ho nessuna directory X, ora non sono su linux ma accedo alla partizione con un programma da windows...appena riavvio ti dico

Ahhh avevo capito il file del logo contenuto nella subdyr X cmq cosa contiene questo file? pensavo che le opzioni di X fossero contenute in /etc/X11/XF86Config
