[Gentoo] Pinguino all'avvio?
Come si fa ad avere una schermata di boot con "i caratteri più piccoli" tipo quella che si vede quando si inserisce il cd di installazione, e soprattutto ad avere il pinguino in alto a sinistra?

non sono un espertone di grub.
allora, supponenedo che tu abbia attivato il frame buffer nel kernel, prova ad aggiungere vga = 791 al grub.conf alla linea dove specifichi il kernel.

fammi sta prova:
vai sotto /usr/src/linux e fai make menuconfig. vai in: Device driver->Graphics support Devi avere attivo cone built-in (* e non M) support for frame buffer device <*> vesa VGA graphics support <*> in console display driver support attiva video mode selection[*] framebuffer console support <*> poi prova a cambiare 791 in 0x316 nel grub.conf
