11/1 nuovi driver Catalyst

Avete visto i nuovi driver catalyst 3.0a? finalmente tutti quei scatti apparenti e problemi sono spariti, brava ati, ma ho notato un abbassamento di fps nei giochi e anche in 3dmark.. cmq è già un bellissimo passo! ora attendo i 3.1 che sicuramente saranno perfetti!. Saluto (ps. provato con la 9700pro)

Ecco le descrizioni:

RADEON™ 9700 / RADEON™ 9500 Series - OpenGL based games stutter after installing wxp-w2k-r9700-7-81-021213a-006924C.exe driver download package.
Running the games Zanzarah or Star Trek-Amada II at 1024x767 32bpp with Anti Aliasing enabled at 6x no longer results in a black screen display.
Selecting single player mode in Heavy Gear 2 has no longer results in display corruption when using the RADEON™ 9700 under Windows XP.
Display corruption is no longer seen around the start button when using the RADEON™ 8500 under Windows XP.
Running the game Serious Sam Second Encounter when using the RADEON™ 7000 under Windows XP, no longer results in a system hang when the display is set to a resolution of 1024x768 or higher.
Playing Quake3 at high quality setting would result in display corruption when firing a weapon. This issue occurred when using the RADEON™ 7500 under Windows XP,
After installing the display driver, the system no longer detects a standard TV instead of an HDTV.
Running the CyberLink PowerDVD application and moving the display window around either the Windows XP or 2000 desktop no longer results in a system hang.
Playing a DVD under the ATI MultiMedia centre in a Windows XP operating system with the All-in-Wonder™ 9700 PRO no longer results in low audio output.
Running ShadowBane under a Windows XP system with a RADEON™ 9700 card installed no longer results in the log-in screen appearing as white blocks

in UT2003 è sparito il quadraro con i bordi neri intorno ai bot?
le mappe face3 e november scattano meno?

aspetto i 3.1 avevo provato i 3.0 + dx9 ma le prestazioni nei videogiochi erano diminuite quindi sono tornato a mettere su i 2.5 che uso ancora adesso...

Sei sicuro che gli scatti siano spariti? Prova con il test del cavallo del 3d mark.

è da quando ho installato la demo di UT2003 che mi appare questo quadrato intorno ai bot ho provato a downclockare la scheda, a installare i catalyst 2.4 2.5 3.0 3.0 + dx9 formattando il pc ad ogni cambio di driver ma non è mai scomparso, fosse un caso .. ma anche quando giocavo con la mia vecchia Ati 8500 mi appariva questo quadrato bo

peccato è l'unico difetto che ho con questa scheda...

Uhm qua siamo in 2 che abbiamo questo problema e te no...
i driver li scarichi dal sito Ati o dalla Sapphire?
che driver hai su adesso?

Io posso dire che questi nuovi catalyst rendono perfettamente funzionante Simcity4 su Radeon9700pro, che coi cata 3.0 precedenti era praticamente ingiocabile.

a me non è cambiato nulla con questi driver e ho la 9500 pro,microsoft rallysport è rimasto ingiocabile

anche se fluido e giro costantemente sui 30\35 fps,sono rimasto sempre questi scatti

Quel gioco e' strano, su certe piste a parita' di settaggi va velocissimo, su altre scatta leggermente. Secondo me molto dipende da quanto una data pista faccia uso di bump mapping e dalla presenza delle altre auto, poiche' sono i due fattori che pesano di piu' sul mio raddy...
Attendo Colin Mcrae 3 per fare paragoni.

I 3.0 sono parecchio buggati. Anche l'autore degli omegadriver ha dovuto ricorrere ad un mix di driver vecchi per poterli utilizzare.

Io per testare i driver uso uno screen saver di un acquiario in 3D (eccezionale... www.serenescreen.com ), che permette di vedere i frame al secondo...

Con tutti i catalyst 2.X faccio circa 160-170 frame alla risoluzione 1280x1024
Con i catalyst 3.0 sono passato a 230 frame!!! (

)

... un bell'incremento!

sultanto che sarà anke un screen saver ma la CPU e la GPU si danno da fare cmq

allora, ho provato tutti i giochi, ora vanno perfettamente con i nuovi catalyst 3.0a, unico difetto che penso lo tolgano con i 3.1 è che ha i fps molto + bassi.. in ut2003 mi avvicino ai 25fps (si vede a occhio nudo) e che prima andava + fluido.. cmq per rallysport challenge simcity4 nolf2,nfshp2 tutto ok!
