Nvidia Optimus, funziona così?!

Ciao, ho preso un Acer Aspire 5742G, il problema è che nella gestione dispositivi vedo attivi la scheda video integrata nel procio i5 e la Nvidia Geforce 540M, il problema è che usando programmi come GPUZ vedo prima la scheda integrata e se scorro vedo la Nvidia,se ad esempio vado sulle impostazioni avanzate dello schermo vedo attiva la scheda integrata.

Visto che dal BIOS non c'è nulla, ho provato a disabilitarla, ma così facendo non switcha sull'altra, però poi ho letto questo:

Significa che la mia situzaione è normale? cioè il sistema in base al carico passa da una all'altra? Come posso accertarmi di questa cosa?
