Come da oggetto e' stata rilasciata l'ultima versione della distribuzione francese Mandriva. Le iso iniziano ad essere disponibili sui mirror in queste ore

ah comunque da segnalare il fatto che subito dopo l'installazione avevo già i driver nvidia installati per la mia 8600gt e la lingua in italiano, insomma mi pare molto ben curata, poi il fatto che non trascuri la versione kde per me è un'ottima cosa

Sto cercando di provarla anch'io: è la mamma della mia distro preferita al momento!!
 Ehm: esiste la versione kde one x86-64? O devo per forza scaricarmi il dvd? E la free mini dual cos'è? Per il primo boot con kernel panic: a me l'ha fatto, ma mi è bastato partire in safe mode e modificare il grub (è cannata la partizione di root!! )

ho provato la free x86_64 sul sistema in sign.
installazione ok, aggiunti repo, aggiornata, installati driver proprietari ati, installato compiz-fusion... problema! mi sono sparite le icone di logoff/spegnimento/ecc... come le faccio riapparire? a suo tempo (su ubuntu) avevo trovato il suggerimento su cosa fare, ma li si faceva tutto "a mano"... qui ha fatto tutto mandriva e non so dove mettere mano per risolvere! help! tra l'altro, se clicco sull'unico pulsante che mi appare ("logoff") esce dalla sessione, sembra passare alla modalità testuale (schermo nero e cursore fisso in altro a sinistra) e si pianta!!!!

Provata per alcune ore.....riconosciuto tutto l'hardware
ma purtroppo devo dire che non è molto reattiva (xp lo è molto di più) lo schermo lo puoi settare al massimo a 24 bit il 32 non c'è propio,per il resto...mi dice che il mio sistema non supporta il desktop 3d..mah !!!! (il cubo),chissà....fortuna che ho la 6600 Nvidia...
