You may have noticed that the two fans are running at different speeds: the outer fan is running at 5000rpm and the inner fan is running slightly faster at 5500rpm. This is not a mistake – in fact, it is an intentional part of the cooler’s design. If both fans were running at the same speed, their vibrations would coincide with one another both causing the unit to shake and creating an unpleasant amount of noise. Long hours of extended exposure to noise can be aggravating to say the least, but thanks to this design decision, the two fans don’t make nearly as much noise as you would expect. Louder than one fan they may be, but loud to the point of insanity, no.
