Boom, adesso Microsoft rilascia un nuovo sistema operativo per supportare Parhelia.
Mi sembra un pò fuori dal mondo....
Windows XP64 esiste già ma per Itanium.
Longhorn o Windows .net che dir si voglia sarà la nuova versione di Windows.
A 32 bit, ovviamente.

Longhorn è il nome in codice della nuova generazione di MSOS, prevista per il 2004, ed andrà ad occupare tutte le fasce di mercato, dal consumer ai datacentres.
Windows.NET sono i nuovi OS del 2003 per il mercato server, sostituiranno gli attuali win2000. Queste le versioni:
• Windows .NET Web Server: A new
version of Windows for web serving
and hosting, providing a platform for
rapidly developing and deploying
web services and applications.
• Windows .NET Standard Server (32-
bit only): This edition is targeted for
the everyday needs of businesses of

• Windows .NET Enterprise Server:

IA64 sarà ovviamente supportato in entrambe le fasce (workstation&server). Stessa cosa per l'x86-64, anche se effettivamente l'architettura è ancora giovane per cui i portavoce MS non possono sbilanciarsi più di tanto
