tu hai un dual io un quad per questo non credo di poter arrivare a 450,
ma credo che volendo potresti essere rs pure a 500x9 o poco sotto,
il mio limite è 425 già a 426 non è più rs

La batteria andrebbe tolta per un bel po'... magari lasciala una nottata senza
(BTW pur avendo provato tutto quanto sopra, la mia Striker1 non si è mai ripresa dal CPU init ed è tutt'ora in RMA)...

è da RMA purtroppo...non perderci altro tempo...fatti dare una mobo in sostituzione...possibilmente diversa...

allora sulla vecchia striker il mio procio faceva i 3.9 con 1.526
adesso sulla formula sono a 3825 con 1.532 causa drop,
il fatto stà che con questa mobo oltre non vado, se metto 426 di fsb il sistema è stabile posso pure giocare a crysis o call of duty, ma occt e prime95 non passano il test, cosi preferisco essere rs e stare in sicurezza a 3825.

Ciao a tutti, avevo scritto in precedenza dei miei problemi con schermate blu da quando ho montato questa mobo, ho notato una cosa alquanto strana e chiedevo se sapete darmi qualche chiarimento, ricordo che ho un QX9650 che a default dovrebbe girare con VCore di 1.25, con settaggio in Auto CPU-Z mi legge 1.132 dunque mi sono chiesto se questa instabilità poteva essere dovuta ad una tensione bassa sul procio, da Bios imposto 1.25 ma CPU-Z legge una tensione di 1.152, in pratica per visualizzare la tensione corretta devo salire sino a circa 1.32, Loadline Calibration è enable e il C1E disable. Riguardo le schermate blu in aattesa di recuperare un kit da 4 gb le mie Ram sono delle CellShock PC8000 CL4, sono per caso noti problemi di incompatibilità con questa mobo?

ti do 2 consigli,
1) disabilita da bios il c1 e tutto ciò che trovi in quella skermata di bios, tranne i core che devono essere abilitati, in win apri core temp e leggi il vid,
poi vai nel bios e metti quel valore, premetto che a quanto ho capito la tua mobo ha un drop di 1.0 + o -, cosi per avere quel valore corretto devi aggiungere al vid che leggereai esattamente 0.100 volt , faccio un esempio se leggi 1.12750 tu dovrai mettere 1.22750, con questo abbiamo risolto con la cpu, ricordo che il vid è il voltaggio di sicurezza che mette intel per il corretto funzionamento della cpu, ma non è detto che se inferiore non funzioni, ricordo per sicurezza.
2) le skermate blu, in definitiva è un problema di ram, ti consiglio di metterle a default, e di provarne una alla volta, al massimo fai un memtest con singola ram, se lo passa è un problema di voltaggio\timings\fsb

Mi spiace, ma non ho problemi con lo SLI nè usando i due slot blu nè (come faccio io) usandone uno Blu ed uno Bianco (sono entrambi 16x).

è assodato che con i valori su AUTO il sistema non è rs, prova, come ti ho detto al massimo metti i setting che ho postato qualche pagina fà,

Perfetto, ricerco i valori da te postati, per le ram sono in attesa di un kit da 4 GB di Corsair Dominator PC8500 che deve passarmi un amico e vediamo se con quello sono stabile.

Following suggestions from some, I have had a look at the CPU-INIT remedy suggestions posted by some users over past months and again taking no credit for any of this, I have pasted the three best looking suggestions here.

Please note that most cover the same ground with JetFx guide being the most detailed, the "snippsat" guide contains some useful BIOS tips too and I have given "Kibosh" guide as well.

i know ther are many guides about this, but i have never found one tht contains all fixes or most of them, so i made this one, im a pc builder, and i have to deal with lots of strikers here so, i found this steps are the most reliable to fix the problem. plz ignore the bad english

ok, follow this steps.
1.unplug the computer from the AC
2. unplug from the mobo the ATX12v and the EATXPWR
3.remove the bios battery wait 30 secs {dont put it again)
4. move clrcmos jumper to enable position {meaning jumper in pins 2-3}
and wait 30 secs.
5. press and HOLD the clrcmos switch for 30 secs then relase,{now clrcmos is clring the cmos} you are going to let the switch in tht position for 2 hrs.. this is very important or it wont work
6. After 2 hrs, press the clrcmos switch to turn it off {dont change the clrcmos enable jumer to disable) leave it enable.
7. connect only the next devices to your computer. 1 sata drive, 1 ide drive, 2 ddr2 dimms in blue slots, 1 video card. 1 striker extreme audio card. and 1 ps2 keyboard {usb wont do} and connect all pc fans
8. recheck that nothing expet the hardware mention above is connected.
9.plug the atx12v and the eatxpower connector and pcie aux if needed
10. put in the cmos battery
11. connect your computer to the ac
12. turn on the pc, and after 3 secs, your going to start hiting {del} in your keyboard, not to fast, 1 click per sec. do more and u will disable the keyboard.
13. asumming the computer boots and enter the bios, go directly to your ram configuration and set voltage to memmory specification (ultra important!!) if you dont set correct voltage to your ram u will get cpu init again in next reboot
14. boot and go to asus and download the new bios 1301 i think it is, and flash your bios. recheck memmory voltage has not been changed

alternative option1
if computer does not start, do all the process again only this time:
between steps 5 and 6 your going to connect your cmos battery upsidedown ( yes you read correctly, your going to flip 180 degrees the battery from its original position, and leavit there for 1 minute) then remove it and proceed to step 6 and so on

if still nothing alternative option2

do all again including alternative option1

this time between steps 2 and 3 you will remove the processor from your mobo, and you will not put it back until step 8

omg if computer still dead, ur cpu init is angry, this is alternative option3 and final.
do all mention above inculding alternative option1 and 2
just this time in step 5 your going to leave the clrcmos switch on for 12hrs

ok thts it dudes, if this does not fix your cpu init. test your cpu in other computer, and if it works RMA your board.

side note...
i have faced about 7 cpu inits in 7 diferent computers, and in 2 of those computers { for user mistake ) 2 more times each.
and i can tell you that, it will go away, it will boot, if you follow this mini guide. i have only see 1 case where the board was actually dead so odds are 7 to 1 gl!

Many here get there motherboard, put it in with a smile. Hook everything up and when they turn it up, the smile goes quickly to tears. CPU INIT. Many users have this error message on the LCD Poster when starting up for the first time. So here I will post some tips and tricks, so we can rederect all people to this thread. Now myself I had this problem with bios 0803, and I couldn't get it right. So I you have bad luck, the bios chip can be broken like mine was. You could ask Asus just to send you a new one flashed already to the latest bios version. You will need also a special tool to replace the chip safely.

First, take out everything you don't need to make it boot. You'll need only one memory stick and one graphic card. Keyboard of course also. The floppy drive and probably one Hard-Drive. All other things you should disconnect. First get the system to boot.

Also get a floppy handy with bios 0901 or higher.

Extreme Procedure to Reset CMOS.

01 - Take out the power cord. All this must be done without the power connected.
02 - Put the jumper "CLRTC" (above the CLR_CMOS button) from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3.
03 - Push the reset button "CLR_CMOS" in. (Battery is now disconnected normally).
04 - Take out the cmos battery and leave it like that for at least 3 hours. (This is to be sure).
05 - After 3 hours put the battery back in.
06 - Push again the the reset button out.
07 - Replace the jumper back to it's original place. Pins 1-2
08 - Put back in the power cord and turn on the power.
09 - When booting, scream very hard "YES" and quickly push the "Delete" to get into bios.
10 - Flash the new bios with the floppy and you should hopefully be fine.
11 - When all works, connect everything and starting having fun with your system.

All others, feel free to join into this threads with other hints and tips (pls no questions). If I made a mistake in my steps, let me know so I will correct it. Don't want others to do it wrongly.

BOOT HELP------BIOS HELP(some basic tips that i know work in most of causes)

1. FIRST STEP


1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3 to enable the CLRTC function.
3. Plug in the power cord.
4. Move the jumper cap from pins 2-3 to pins 1-2 (default).
5. Turn ON the computer.
6. Hold down the <DEL> key during the boot process.
7. Load Asus Profile if applicable and reboot.

IF you get it to boot,be fast to set correct voltage in bios(memory most important)
Can frezze very fast if not(same for all stepp)


2. IF 1 STEP DONT WORK NEXT STEP.

Turn bios battery 180 then put it inn(yes wrong side inn)
Wait for 30sek.
Then but it inn right side.

Take out memorystick so you have only one.
Both stick in diffrent slot(if you have other memory try that)

Many try can suddenly boot after 30 times

Take out everything that you dont need to boot(only one HD)

TRY AGAIN.

3. SO LAST STEP

Take out cpu(yes sometime this help)
Look cpu,maybe some new thermal paste.
Make sure it clean and correct install.

Measure psu with voltmeter.
Try with other psu(some have sad that this have work for them)

If none off this work.
Try to test you cpu and videocard in an other pc.
If it work you have a dead board.

So new bios can fix this.

Anche se le caratteristiche di questa mobo sono eccezionali , la prima serie presenta il problema del CPU INIT. nel mio caso è stata sostituita in RMA e adesso funziona perfettamente.

Ho letto la procedura,
simile a quella che fecero per la vecchia striker extreme,
poi dopo un pò fecero un riassunto,
comunque la prassi è sempre la stessa,
togliere tutto e.........................aspettare
A parte questo la mia mobo va ancora benissimo,
certo le reference fanno gola,
ma aspetto il miracolo 790i ultra sli con ddr2 non si sa mai

anke io ho avuto lo stesso problema .CPU INIT..e per fortuna lo risolto...grazie a i consigli di smoicol......per lo meno sulla mia mobo a funzionato......ho solo caricato le impostazioni del boot a default ......poi ho alzato i voltaggi come cpu voltage a 1.5( è un po troppo se nn devi overcloccar...e se soprattutto hai un e 8400 lo porti fino a 4ghz a default. ..)...cpu pll a 1.6...ecc ecc...
se volete posso postare qui i miei voltaggi...ok??
