Ciao, vorrei sapere se è possibile fare in modo che la mia Debian Sarge, quando uso il comando apt-get update e apt-get dist-upgrade, prenda i pacchetti più aggiornati dal repository di Debian Sid o Etch (che a quanto ho capito contengono i pacchetti più aggiornati) e se la risposta è positiva come fare a farlo. Io ho installato Sarge da un DVD e quando installo qualche pacchetto mi chiede sempre di inserirlo il DVD...

devi editare il file etc/apt/sources.list mettendo i reposity che trovi all'inizio di questo 3d, dopodiche ridai i comandi da te elencati

Devi editare il file /etc/apt/sources.list.
Commenta (#) le linee relative al dvd e aggiungi se non presenti queste linee:

Se il server .it non fosse raggiungibile, usa .de o altri a piacere.

da qui dovresti averci preso qualcosa in fase di installazione sempre se hai configurato bene la scheda di rete...

Su X è facile: selezioni con il tasto sinistro e incolli con il centrale. Diversamente non lo so.

C'è un problema... L'upgrade si blocca e tutte le volte che tento di riprenderlo con apt-get -f install mi vien fuori tutto questo:

Che faccio?

allora incomincia a fare dpkg-reconfigure locales e scegli il linguaggio italiano, per togliere il prblema di perl.
poi rifai di nuovo apt-get -f install e vedi che succede
