devi fare così:

alla fine del boot nel 4000 viene cercato il file /etc/amod/conf/rcS1.user se esiste viene eseguito

quindi entra in telnet e crea quel file

nano /etc/amod/conf/rcS1.user

controlla se si è online, nel qual caso esce subito, dopo aver riazzerato il contatore dei controlli
se non si è online, legge i tentativi fatti; se sono 5, fa un reboot; altrimenti incrementa il contatore e ne salva il valore

ora lancia subito /etc/amod/conf/rcS1.user così da avviare la cosa
/etc/amod/conf/rcS1.user

Voglio solo vedere il traffico sulla ppp1 <--> nas0, il contenuto dei pacchetti per l'analisi, tcpdump?, Wireshark?

è praticamente impossibile usare tcpdump, perché le interfacce ppp1 e nas1 vanno down quando fai un renew ip e quindi tcpdump si blocca perché l'interfaccia sparisce

per fare il debug ppp ti ho spiegato molti post fa come fare, cioé scrivere a mano la riga del comando pppd aggiungendo l'opzione debug

mi dispiace ma è oltre le mie capacità saper diagnosticare un problema ppp con un provider spagnolo

Ho settato il limiter in questo modo su dgnd 4000:

Praticamente all'ip indicato c'è un raspberry che scarica da torrent e vorrei che quando mi collego con altri dispositivi esso venga limitato.

Per prova ho messo a scaricare da torrent e poi dal pc ho aperto 3/4 pagine youtube, in download qualche img di sistema etc...
però la velocità dei torrent non scende al 30%.

Ho notato però che se setto anche il ceil rate a 30, limita il dispositivo.

Sbaglio qualcosa? o semplicemente la prova che ho effettuato non significa niente?

EDIT: ogni volta che salvo qualche modifica, riavvio il modem, perchè mi pare di ricordare che si devono scollegare tutti i dispositivi

ceil vuol dire fino a che percentuale di banda è per quella classe, se disponibile

se vuoi limitare la banda al 30% devi mettere rate e ceil al 30%

non c'è alcun bisogno di riavviare il router; l'unico "problema" che esiste è che il limiter non agisce sulle connessioni che esistono prima che entri in funzione, ma solo su quelle dopo

per cui se cambi qualcosa e riavvii il limiter, potrebbe non accadere nulla

per forzare che le nuove impostazioni siano attive, devi cancellare tutte le connessioni

questo si può fare da info pages/connections/Delete all oppure da telnet scrivendo conntrack -D

ogni connessione sarà cancellata, così, per fare un esempio, un cliente torrent dovrà riconnettere tutte le sue cose e le nuove impostazioni del limiter entreranno in gioco

I'm using amod on my dgn3500 but when I updated to latest version I saw some Tx errors, some times I lost connection with my WiFi I'm not sure that problem was before amod or not because when I used to original firmware everything worked correctly, now when my WiFi some times disconnected I try to investigate and find reason.

I am not able at all to investigate a wireless problem like that from here. So many tx errors are really strange. In respect to the original firmware, amod wifi is quite different on the 3500, probably it should be defined as totally different; the wsc_cmd is completely gone and wifi station is set up only via hostapd; I am sorry, but I can't really say anything meaningful, so if the netgear firmware works for you, you should go back to it

the usual stuff to have a stable wifi on amod is to have
- a fixed channel
- wpa2 AES
- one sid (stability)
- 300 Mbps, 40 mhz

It used to be easy to do on the DG834 as you could edit the config.cfg file and change the username, however since the names are now encrypted it cannot be done.


and a dream - does the DGN2200v4 have enough RAM to be able to run SABnzb or NZBget?
