Non riesco ad installare la scheda audio
Ciao a tutti.
E' da un po' che il suono non mi va più. Con alsaconf sembra andare tutto a buon fine, ma poi alsamixer mi dice che non trova nessuna scheda sonora. Yast invece mi dice che trova la scheda ma non riesce ad installarla per problemi a irq o altro. Che posso fare? Ho provato a disinstallarli, reinstallarli ed aggiornarli ma niente. Suse 9.2 Kde 3.4 Scheda audio integrata nel via 8237 Grazie

strano io ho il tuo chip e la scheda funziona!
se utilizzi alsaconf invece di yast devi caricare il modulo della scheda audio nel kernel (editi da root /etc/modules e ci aggiungi il nome del modulo che ti ha detto alsaconf di caricare). Strano però perchè dopo avver avviato alsaconf in genere finchè non riavvii dovrebbe funzionare. Cmq nel caso alsamixer ti rileva la scheda e non senti nulla alza le ultime 4 al massimo (mi sembra si chiamino VIA DXS o giu di lì...ho cambiato scheda audio!  )su: No module symbols loaded - kernel modules not enabled sinceramente non so che dirti...se non puoi caricare moduli credo che avresti altri problemi oltre alla scheda audio!

Anche a me la scheda ha sempre funzionato (a parte l'audio digitale che va a scatti).
Poi ho aggiornato kernel compilato tornato al kernel vecchio ed ora non va più... proprio yast non riesce ad installarla, alsaconf dice di averla installata ma poi yast dice che è inattiva. proverò a fare come dici tu
