Emmy 2025: HBO sbalordisce tutti, Apple TV+ domina gli attori e Netflix non molla. Tutti i segreti

L’attesa per novità sull’universo di Harry Potter cresce, ma nel frattempo la stagione delle grandi premiazioni televisive è già infuocata. I risultati delle nomination agli Emmy Awards 2025 proiettano HBO in testa con uno storico primato di 142 nomination - superando ogni record precedente. Ma se sul versante delle quantità il canale Warner Bros. sbaraglia tutti, la battaglia della qualità trova un’inaspettata regina nelle produzioni Apple TV+, capace di piazzare ben 81 candidature (31 delle quali alle interpretazioni).

HBO: non solo sicurezze, ma anche scommesse vincenti

Il successo di HBO non si ferma ai pilastri ormai consolidati. Oltre alle conferme come The White Lotus (23 nomination) e la brillante comedy Hacks (14 nomination), la vera sorpresa è rappresentata da The Penguin, spin-off di Batman, che vola a quota 24 candidature, piazzandosi seconda solo alla serie fenomeno Severance di Apple TV+. Il loro segreto? Un’affinata strategia che punta sul talento narrativo: libertà creativa affidata a showrunner visionari come Mike White e il coraggio negli adattamenti (basti pensare a The Last of Us, che ottiene 16 nomination malgrado l’arduo compito di reinterpretare un capolavoro videoludico).

Apple TV+ punta sulla qualità con Severance

Cupertino non sta certo a guardare. Grazie all’irresistibile ascesa di Severance – Scissione, che con la seconda stagione si aggiudica ben 27 nomination (tra cui Miglior Serie Drammatica e candidature per Adam Scott e Britt Lower), Apple TV+ dimostra come investire in una scrittura sopraffina e cast di altissimo livello possa fare la differenza.

Grande merito anche alla comedy The Studio di Seth Rogen: 23 nomination e riconoscimenti per i suoi interpreti principali, tra cui lo stesso Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn e Catherine O’Hara. L’offerta si completa con titoli di culto come Slow Horses, Presumed Innocent, Bad Sisters e Dark Matter, che consolidano una piattaforma sempre più orientata su contenuti sofisticati.

Colosso della serialità, per l’ottavo anno consecutivo la “big N” supera la soglia delle 100 nomination, fermandosi a 120 candidature su ben 44 produzioni. Oltre ai blockbuster e alle serie globali come Black Mirror, si mettono in luce le novità a tinte drammatiche come Adolescence, miniserie che fa parlare di sé per temi forti e interpretazioni intense.
