Per uno che non ha mai installato un atispam o un firewall...
che antispam mi consigliate per proteggere le mie mail infestate da mille ca***?
P.S. Ho NOD32 installato.

ma il mio problema è questo:
mi arrivano in continuazione sul mio @ngi.it un casino di mail con link idioti e publicità inutili...almeno 10 messaggi al giorno...
alcuni arrivano con virus...ma nod fa il suo dovere...
per quanto riguarda il resto, qualcuno sa consigliarmi un antispam, un sw che filtra i messaggi in arrivo...qualcosa per aiutarmi a non ricevere più questa feccia?

P.S. Bloccare l'utente con outlook non server, in quanto i mittenti cambiano continuamente...

Ti scegli da solo quello che eliminare dalla casella di posta quello che non ti serve (virus compresi) prima di scaricarlo fisicamente sul pc e non rischi di eliminare mail "innocenti".

Per un solo account è freeware.

Ho installato spamihilator, ma mi dice che la porta 110 e 143 è già in uso da un altro programma e mi dice di modificare le impostazioni di spamihilator.
E non mi lascia scaricare la posta. Uso avast! come antivirus e sygate personal firewall.

To correct set Spamihilator to be used with avast! scanning the e-mail messages, first you have to solve the socket error when Spamihilator opens, since both programs (Spamihilator and avast!) want to use the POP3 port 110.
Please read the Spamihilator FAQ.
Please make sure that you change your POP3 port both in your e-mail client (for example, in Outlook Express, in each account, see Tools> Accounts > Properties > Advanand) and Spamihilator to 120, for example.

After that you have to change the username in your e-mail-client to something like that:

Incoming mail: localhost
Account name: localhost&yourUsername#yourPOP3Server&110
or
Incoming mail: 127.0.0.1
Account name: 127.0.0.1&yourUsername#yourPOP3Server&110

And you have to change avast4.ini file like the following:

Open the Avast4\Data\Avast4.ini file and go to [Mail scanner] section. If you change any items while the mail scanner is running, the new values will be loaded and used immediately after you save the avast4.ini file.
Mail scanner works as a simple SMTP/POP3/IMAP proxy server. It means that your mail program must be configured so that it sends requests to the Mail scanner, and the Mail scanner forwards them to the appro-priate SMTP (POP3, IMAP) server.

The Mail scanner uses ports 25, 110 and 143 of your computer. If you want to use Spamihilator (which uses these ports as well), it is necessary to properly set the items DefaultSmtpServer, DefaultPopServer and DefaultImapServer. For example, if you want to configure your system so that the Mail scanner "sits be-tween" your mail program and a SMTP/POP3 server running on the same computer, configure items *Listen as above and add:

DefaultSmtpServer=127.0.0.1:25

Infatti da bravo cogliote avevo sbagliato a leggere

Come antispam io consiglio sempre POPFile. Davvero ottimo con i suoi filtri bayesiani e la sua interfaccia web. Un po' pesante (circa 20mb, residente in memoria).

Non funziona... Non riesco a farlo andare. Però sono stufo di ricevere 50 email di spam al giorno...
Consigli?

si. Ho cambiato la porta di spamhilator e anche quella in outlook. Poi ho cambiato le impostazioni di outlook:


E anche nel file di avast ho aggiunto quei comandi.
Ma quando vado in outlook e faccio invia e ricevi mi rimane la finestra così


e poi mi dice che il server non ha risposto...

edit: ho provato a impostare con il Wizard di Spamihilator, ma anche senza. Ho disintallato avast e anche Spamihilator per poi reinstallarli, ma senza risultato...

ho disattivato avast e impostato spamhilator con il suo Wizard e funziona, però io voglio avere la protezione di avast per l'email, visto che mi arrivano una valanga di virus...
Quindi per adesso ho disattivato spamhilator e reimpostato tutto come se non ci fosse spamhilator.

E se cambiassi antivirus? Che antivirus free mi consigliate?
